| LILIANA GODOY |
Liliana Godoy is a perfect example of the milonguera. She has been dancing tango for more than twenty years. During those years she has studied with great masters, danced indefatigably with the most experienced dancers as well as with beginners, and has taught tango to literally thousands of people. However, in a way tango for her is as new as it was the first day she danced it: she is still amazed (and making us feel amazed) at its extraordinary beauty. Among Susana Miller's La Academia team, she is the one who has studied the dance and pedagogy for the longest time: she has been working with Susana Miller for fifteen years and she shares her knowledge with equal amounts of precision and passion. There is almost no recent milonguero-style dancer in Buenos Aires who hasn't taken at least one lesson from her.
In La Academia, she teaches both leading and following, from beginner to advanced level. She has participated on many occasions in the Tango Festival organized by the Secretary of Culture of the City of Buenos Aires, teaching innumerable lessons. Her teaching focuses mainly on leading and following, navigation of the dance floor, musicality as an essential aspect of the dance, and communication within the couple. But she is also an expert in the milonga life, its people, its codes and the secrets that make the tango adventure even more interesting.
