| POCHO |
Pocho has been dancing tango for more than sixty years and is one of the few milongueros who learned and danced during the 1940s Golden Age of tango. From the south of Buenos Aires, he has lived his life in hundreds of milongas and, like a rolling stone, his dancing has been losing imperfections through the years, thus achieving its unique naturalness.
The clearness of his lead, the intimacy of his embrace, the perfection of his movements and the profound musicality of his steps make him one of the best dancers in Buenos Aires.
He is renowned for his milonga con traspie. Many of his movements are simple, and a part of the common language of milongueros. But in these movements he achieves a combination of precision and softness that is astonishing. He also makes complex, very original steps, achieved with the same ease he surprises us with in his simple movements. |
